because we got no posts on the other forum so i thought with a more friendly interface, people might want to post, c'mon people talk to each other about roms emus and other random stuff you may want to talk about, i will organise the forum better and will include a section to make a request for roms etc. Happy posting
Ok lets clear something up straight away, here at romlinks we do not, repeat do not have any roms, so I hear you cry, "Why God Why Do You exist, I mean You didnt even ask me to vote on a million websites before I came in only so I could find out you didnt have any and feel damn that I just advertised you" or something alon those lines, well I tell you, We provide links to websites that actually do have roms so you dont have to search the web any longer, yay for romlinks. And as you could probably tell I have something of a Hatred for the rom voting system that capitalises the rom Industry as it leads the internet sites to demand votes before you can download the roms and then obviously not have any when you get in, so in this website we will only provide links to sites that will freely allow you to download roms without having to vote, but help keep these sites online by voting anyway, but adopt my policy: Dont vote until you have your rom.Oh and remember not to download the rom unless you own the original
Ok First up the emulators:
These are pretty simple to find on the internet, but I will suggest Techroms as it also has a healthy selection of freely downloadable roms. Oh and this site doesnt even have an option to vote for it which I find..... strange really. We would suggest the "Wgens" emulator for mega rive and the "Visualboy advance" for Gba (also plays Gb classic games so you will only need the 1 emu for your pocket collection) I didnt need any more emus but it shouldnt be too hard to find:)
Ok now onto the roms themselves Techroms has a vast selection of freeware roms which I think we can all download to our hearts content and play (If I am wrong could techroms please get in touch with me and I will erase them from my hard drive) Ok so there isnt really a lot of point to freeware roms if you think about it as the games were never on the system so playing them through the emulator for that system seems pointless right? well if you think about it most of those freeware roms wont have been made by large development units but instead by regular people with a rather extensive knowledge of programming and stuff and that thought makes us feel warm and fuzzy inside because technically that would mean that with the right tools you or I could do the same thing, Which might also explain why I have affiliated with a few other tripod users that are seemingly obsessed with the world of home made games
Ok If you want proper roms you can find a large selection of Nes, Snes, Genesis(Mega Drive), Master system, Atari and Gameboy(colour and classic) on Techroms If you find there is a particular rom that you cannot find on this site then you might have more luck in MagicbusRoms Oh but none of these sites include all the Pokemon Gameboy roms which your entire Gameboy classic collection of Pokemon Games can be satisfied in gamewonderz although it doesnt contain the Gba pokemon games, you will need to go elsewhere....
And this elsewhere is Rom Paradise it contains the gba pokemon roms along with a host of other games in their massive online folder, but you can only download 10 a day and if you download too many you get locked out of the folder until the following day, it also seems to have roms for other consoles but I couldnt get the other folders open.
Ok but even this doesnt have all the gba roms Rom-1 claims to have 61 gba roms but i'll let you into a secret, come on gather round *whispers* If you click on one of the gba rom files and we mean any of them you (yes you) will be transported elsewhere, but do not be enraged as this place is not a "please vote before collecting your roms" message this place is a 1100 strong list of gba games ripe for the downloading, I think it is in the order they were released, so you will not be able to scroll through and pick up your game in alphabetical order, but you cant complain, oh and dont forget only to download 1s with (E) for Europe or (U) for United kingdom as (J),(F),(G) will provide you with Japanese, French and German downloads respectively, which I find kinda useless, but dont forget to vote as this is amazing, If you find it wont work here is a direct link Game Boy advanced roms
Which I later discovered to be the Rom Hustler which also has roms for other formats like a nice alphabetical Mega drive games list including (YES) a working version of Bubba N Stix
For your nes Roms I would suggest Korrupted Power which you will find in our Affiliates section but It has a good selection of Roms (If a little tricky to find at first) and they download no problem, None of this forced voting B******* and that earns it a place in the recommended rom sites as well
On recent Browsing of the web I found another rom website X roms, which has a fairly small number of roms but they are constantly being added
People I have found another rom site, a small collection of all the best games for the consoles all freely downloadable with no forced voting rubbish, henceforth earns itself a place on the romlinks recommended site Grestys roms

Gamecube, Dreamcast etc as they are too big to fit online so they

them they seem like nice people and their games sound great A group of people that download games off the internet,
scrutinise them and give them a mark and a link to where the game
is, which sounds ok I think, just visit them. One of Our affiliates which claims hostage to 60 nes roms and Visual basic code, i think, Try it out people Our newest affiliate, a DJ I know who has finally got himself a web address so automatically gets himself a link on my website, he has a games section, with cheats and links and stuff, well worth checking out, you know you want a DJ for your next party, see we dont just give you links to rom sites, we give you links to all the best sites currently available on the web, like one of those internet service providers Oh but klikworld aren't online yet so there isnt
much point in going yet
